Beer Collaboration with Faculty Brewing

Beer Collaboration with Faculty Brewing

Back in December of 2017 Juniper’s Bar Manager, Max Borrowman, started a beer collaboration with Faculty Brewing. I’m sure you have heard about them already but if you haven’t you should definitely go to their tasting room and try some of their beers. Faculty is into creating experimental beers that are released on Thursdays (Experimental Beer Thursday). These experimental beers can be anything from cool cask, pilots, or just weird fermentation experiments. At Juniper we really like Faculty’s beer and thought it would be fun to collaborate with them for one of their experimental beers.

With this beer collaboration between Juniper and Faculty the goal was to create a beer with unique botanical gin flavors unlike any other beer out there. Max Borrowman shared his expertise and insight on gin botanicals and how certain flavour profiles come out through the beer. He and the brewmasters at Faculty Brewing brewed the beer and added during the process juniper berries, cardamom pods, coriander seeds, grapefruit peel, green apple and spruce tip. One could say that the flavour profile is representative of both Juniper and Faculty Brewing. The beer is now available at both locations. Have a taste and let us know what you think!
